Mermaid details

Mermaid curls and jewellery straight from the sea.

Palm Springs

It was a little sunnier yesterday so I got my tan on and my legs out! Palm tree skorts, white ribbed crop jumper and peep toe boots, all TOPSHOP.

There was still a cold wind so I threw on my camel zara coat! I finished this outfit off with some gold hoop earings and my chartreuse hold all.

A shoe thing...

Public desire are on a roll with these amazing shoes! The cleated sole and platform makes them bang on trend, super easy to wear and comfortable.
I am especially loving the nude patent uppers on the Kelis and the Farah loafer. Also the totally gorgeous, classic Alexia with the gold bar ankle strap and block heel, featured here is tangerine and white, also comes in aqua and black.

I'm gonna be hitting their online shop hard come pay day!

Nail day

am super fed up with my little stubby fingernails which, even though I have long fingers and long nail beds, make my hands look like feet!

Counting down the days for pay day so I can get my nails done ☺️ Can't decide what to get, I know a few places to go to get some amazing nail art, but I know where I like to go to get my acrylics the way I like. Is it acceptable to go somewhere for one and somewhere else for the other? I'm not sure about this part of nail ettiqiette.

Loving the natural/nude look of these stiletto nails

However I always love my nails when they are really dark, almost black, burgundy, grape or navy! I've always wanted to go and get love heart tips done properly, should I just go for that?

Or...seeing as it's pay weekend, do I go for something abit more expensive and amazing, like these super cute mermaid themed nails?

Thank goodness I have another week to make up my mind!

Hat shopping

Went hat shopping today, H&M have an amazing array of hats right now. I was looking for something I can wear right now and as the weather here in Scotland has taken a turn for the dull, I was deciding between a trio of black wide brim hats. The first was woven, so had a summer feel, which I am deffinately going to return and buy before I go on holiday, it's massive brim is the perfect kind of stylish for shading myself from the sun for some summer reading.

The second had a shorter brim but I wanted more of a statement hat so I settled on number 3.

This hat has a wider brim than the second, and just soft enough to flop slightly! Purchase perfection.

Early bird.

Ok so I was deffinately wearing far too many clothes for how today's weather turned out 🙊 but I did get dressed at 6:30 this morning when it was all cloudy I couldn't tell what way it was going to go!

Cream overdosed shirt £30 from TOPSHOP, Bunny Bow sweatshirt (bought this last month so unsure how much) still available in TOPSHOP and pastel blue and white floral jeans are from primark last summer.

It took me a minute to think of what shoes I could wear with this outfit and then genius struck...sparkly juju jellies ☺️  And the sparkly blue socks were the cherry on the cake I think!

Folk.

Today I went for quite a folky vibe. Wearing a dark blue shirt buttoned right up, TOPSHOP folk embroidered skirt and my fav H&M dark red fedora.

I am still crushing on my beautiful Auckland peep toe boots so wore them to keep this outfit edgy.

Shoe habit.

So I've already admitted I am a TOPSHOP-aholic but I think it's time I confess another aparant addiction....I have a serious shoe habit.

I found these amazing Vivienne Westwood/ Melissa shoes yesterday in TKMAXX. They were only £29 😮 I HAD to have them.

Today was also the first outing of my beautiful boot babies.

Uniform day 2

Today I wanted to wear something summery and the sun is trying to get out of the clouds.

I opted for this cute TOPSHOP daisy dress I bought last summer. They have brought out an updated red version with more of a frill at the bottom this summer.

As it's sunny but still cold I put on some tights and black leather boots and teamed my girly dress with a leather belt to add edge.

Uniform day

Eeek! It's arrived! The day to try and buy my TOPSHOP uniform. There are so many things in store I am lusting after. So I'm taking a mountain of clothes with me to try!

I knew before I even tried it that this folk embroidered skirt was for me. The detail is beautiful and it fits really well. Only £36 which I think is very reasonable for so much stitching work. Please excuse my lack of shoes, but this will look great in summer with peep toe boots or tan sandals.

These peep toe boots to be precise! My babies arrived last week, and I am a very proud parent. After trying and failing to get a very similar, but sadly sold out pair I opted for the closed heel version. These were £92 but have since been repriced to  £72. They are the softest leather and are gonna last me through summer, when a sandal is too cold but a full boot is just too wintery! And long into next winter I believe.

A day in Edinburgh.

Apologies for being absent for this long, I've been busy with work and life and found I've been too busy to give my blog it's much deserved attention. However, I am now going to bombard you with posts, your going to be sick of the sight of me!

I spent a few days in Edinburgh last week with my best girl friend and unfortunately she isn't in possession of a full length mirror (scandalous I know) so I had to make do with a lovely selfie!

The floral dress is from TOPSHOP and it was £40. Totally worth the price! The material is gorgeous, so soft and sits beautifully. I wore it fringed up with some chunky boots but have also made it quite pretty with a pastel necklace.

As girls will be girls, we headed straight for the shops.

Hello my name is Mairi and I am a TOPSHOP-aholic.

I fell in love with these white lux joggers with their beautiful silk trims! I will get my hands on them again at some point!

For going out that night, I kept it quite casual.

I wore my new ripped knee TOPSHOP Leigh jeans which were £38 and an oversized cardigan I got from H&M a few years ago that I always wear backwards so it buttons down the back. I finished off the outfit with my TOPSHOP chunky All Sorts boots.
